This is a fascinating subject that I've never really thought much about. I'ved thought about the tone and the person's intention behind someone using my name, but never in this way, with an emphasis on me and what I can do with the message. If that makes sense...
I'm going through a vivid dream patch at the moment and someone has been mentioning my name. The only thing is it is in jest and fury, taunting me, reminding me of how they think I should act.

Thanks for the feedback being pregnant would certainly alter your percentions of yourself and cause your name to appear, wouldn't it?
Perhaps I could add something to the mix for you on ridicule, which when dreamt about in essence is saying that you will have to reveal a great deal of information about yourself to another person. The need to do this properly will be important in some way, so that the other person can make a decision in your favour. I guess when we have children (as women) we certainly do give out more than we care to. (leave your dignity at the door type stuff), and doctors need to know just about EVERYTHING !!!
Jest ~ when experienced in dreams usually means that someone will enter your life who has a problem with obsessive behaviour. It would be wise to try to avoid being the focus of this person, although there is no greater obsessive than a new born child and your dream may be a communication you have set up between you helping you deal with this all ahead of time . .?
Putting the two together along with the above, great changes in who you are will give you much to think about indeed and a narrow pathway to navigate through yourself. Good luck with it all, I know it will all work out, because we can dream and do make it through lifes trials.

Peoplewho are strong in their own identity tend not to hear names very often . . or not until there a big changes around them and that time of life arrives when they must question who they are . . especially around midlife I guess, although names can come along much earlier in life, for older souls.
