Dream Herald - by Lilla

In his work entitled *Sacred clowns* Tony Hillerman writes ~ *.... This business of hozho. The way I understand it ... I’ll use an example. Terrible drought, crops dead, sheep dying. Spring dried out. No water. The Hopi, or the Christian, maybe the Moslem, they pray for rain. The Navajo has the proper ceremony done to restore himself to harmony with the drought. You see what I mean. The system is designed to recognize what’s beyond human power to change, and then to change the human’s attitude to be content with the inevitable.* : The truth is, Dreams Help Us Adjust in exactly the same way . . .

Types Of People In Dreams Hi - Mi

January 23rd 2007 01:22

We continue our alphabetical journey through dreamtime figures, looking a little into the Male Religious and Esoteric characters, which more rarely appear during our nocturnal wanderings.

These men of high standing do not visit often and therefore it is particularly important, that when they do, you pay special attention to the details that surround them. Listen to their words... wake with them in your ears and write them down. They will have major significance in your evolutionary unfolding and understanding of it.

I hope you find answers here to some visits you may have already encountered from these powerful, enigmatic dream personalities...

High Priest, Astrologer, Shaman, Guru - those with esoteric knowledge.
Anyone who appears to you with esoteric knowledge of magical practices and ancient wisdom, does so to instruct you on the way to your Higher Self.

Usually a special initiation, this visit will allow you to become privvy to this deeper knowledge by meeting your 'teacher' and guide first.

A visit by such a character requires that you take very special care to note all the symbols and minute details that follow. It is a dream of great initiation.

An Inadequate Person, a failure, a looser and inept bungler, Court Jester..
Sometimes the only place we feel safe enough to confront our own inadequacies is within our dream state. It is often the first opportunity we have to meet the Shadow - that part of ourselves we consider weak, underdeveloped, embarrassing. We often ignore this aspect of ourselves at our own peril in our waking life, but cannot afford to ignore it when it appears in our dreams. We must must acknowledge this dream figure as a reflection of ourselves, so that we can start to deal with a learnt sense of inferiority. If we do not, we will be continually faced with our own sense of inferiority in the waking life, plagued by our own inadequacies.

King, Emperor, Ruler, Chief...
These characters in dream is almost always a symbolic representation of the Father, or father figure. Often an emperor can indicate that some of the father's attitudes are alien to the dreamer, but should perhaps be accepted.

Dying King, Emperor, Ruler, Chief...
It is time for the dreamer to be able to reject outworn or old-fashioned family values.

Ministers of All Religions..
Ministers hold a special p[lace in the dream hierarchy, since authority is given to them not by man, but to all intents and purposes by God or an universal [or ultimate] power. As in the High Priest, you must pay special attention to what is being said, shown or disclosed. These will hold the direct clues necessary for proper integration.

Lilla,

This is amazing stuff, how long have you been moving in a different dimension from the rest of us.

I don't seem to have had any such visits with the exception of I think, my surgeon, a few weeks ago, but I'm beginning to wonder if that really did happen or I am getting him confused with someone else, it was just an appearance really. I scarcely remember, I dismissed it at the time as being quite meaningless, perhaps reflecting a little on some of my anxiety.

I don't see him again until Easter, barring emergencies and I feel quite comfortable with that, but I am trying to improve my health, against pretty bad odds really, but I do OK, some would say, amazingly. I am always trying to solve problems. And this is where my future lies unless I am stymied yet again.

Hi LL...

As strange as this may sound to some
(and perhaps this is a little personal but hey... I once shared "gardening tips" on your cosmetics post..!), when I am pondering a problem, I sleep on it (literally...I write a few words of the the problem and put it under the mattress head).

...and without fail, I will dream of my (late) father.... usually with a cryptic message... but the morning brings clarity so obviously my sub conscious has absorbed the message...without fail, I wake with a solution(s).

Perhaps this is just my brain using my id to 'unlock' files and as my father was, is a huge influence on the way I 'use' my brain, dreaming about him solving the problem for me, takes pressure off me and therefore my mind can do what it has to without being harangued.

Am I making any sense???

Hope you are well LL...hope your day was lovely yesterday...22...very powerful number yes?

Wo.. I just did my first click.

This is some interesting stuff, but what happens when it is just modern day people in the dreams?

I usually dream of being transported elsewhere, usually ambiguously enough to relate it to home.

Am I being nieve here?

Maybe just too young.

"But Ma, I wanna catch up!" Jokes

Keep it green, street team.

Hi DuskyD,

It all makes perfect sense to me! I think you have a good handle on it ... Father's in dreams are always a good sign, especially for girls, as they often set the 'pattern' that girls keep for all their future relationships, until she works out a way to hold her own 'patterns' in relationships.

If there have been difficulties with Father, through a conflict of attitude, then things are often resolved with him in her dreams. Being a "free thinking Aquarian" [air sign, not water sign - first contradiction] yourself, perhaps there were 'bariers' of beliefs to overcome on both sides in this respect. I bet you taught him a thing or two, though.

As to my 22, *lol* yes I am the Master of the ....? Something? Hopefully myself. Powerful? yes, can be hard to hold such a 22-energy-tiger by the tail. But I also have Master 11 to balance things too? Not all roses...

... many levels ... many dimensions ... many hard knocks and trials.

*hugs*
Lilla

Hi Opto,

Never too young to dream, my friend ...
try previous letters in people series.

A - Ch
Cr - He

There you'll find the ordinary folk,
the ones that frequent your dreams,
to bring back that esteem...
the ones that help you sort it out,
shake it about,
and resolve it...
understand and realise,
all those funny screams!

Good dreaming,
happy deciphering...

Ash!
I always used to dream about a giant walking around my suburb, its footsteps were my heart beating... it stopped the day he leaned over to my window and said 'hello'.
See ya round,

hey Opto!

ahhh maybe I need to say hello to them! I have been dreaming about giants all this week and last night they arrived on these massive Viking ships - they were beautiful really, such colour and detail in their crafting. The head Viking giant`s watch was stolen (one of those old fashioned ones) and inside lived a cartoon crab who clambered out and begged to be set free!

It was interesting to say the least!

Admittedly, the dream about the giant, for me, lasted for several years.

Do you live near the coast too?

I generally find that the big fellas in dreams are the friendly ones, while with the smaller things its like Futurama where the robot dude has his own planet... their simply yours. (Coming from an Aquarian)

Have fun with the crab! Hmmmm Scorpios and Cancers. I guess it makes sense.

The crab definition is here if you want to read about it.

I think I understand everything else in it except the giant and viking. If it means what I think it means then blow me down!!!! I don`t need more proof that dreams are more than a mish mash of the days events but it`s kinda weird how your dreams can hold the answers to a lot of the dilemma`s you are going through and bring some helpful advice rather than stressing over something for months on end and procrastinating with silly trivialities.

I`m not sure that the big fella`s were exactly friendly in this dream... they rammed the poor little boats that were fishing just off the shore as they made their way to land...

I love this little planet! Feel free to visit anytime

Yoho Ash

...(..and Opto ...so good to see you too! Hope all is well ~ have missed you..)..

Now then, what's all this business about Giants landing in Viking boats with crabs scuttling around?

*chuckle* Ash, Eldest thought that image all a bit hilarious ...

/seriously/ it's all good. Giants appearing in our dreams quite simply represent the primordial power (often at the core of who we are)... and in their basic form of raw emotion and anger. Therefore, dreaming about giants often means that we are coming to terms with some of the repeated feelings we had about adults when we were children. These adults may have been intimidating in some way; now as adults ourselves, they seem less frightening ~ a crab appearing here, is so natural (and wonderful) as your totem animal for this time.

Simply ~ time to shed layers to re-connect and recreate YOUR love. Tuning into your own rhythms, perhaps the ones you’ve ignored because of ‘gigantic’ intimidation and anger blocks placed for self protection in response to them? Often the very blocks that continue to stop us from being effective in the real world, especially when dealing with 'the establishment...' which can also beome a giant too.

That the Giants came in Viking ships, Ash, is really interesting...

I’d like to break this bit down into two components first.

Boats in dreams are always symbols that represent how we cope with our emotions and those of others through the journey of life. They also represent our attitudes to death and the ‘Final Journey’ (which is so often the cause for disagreement and religion itself) … and to that end, boats also represent fertility and adventure.

Vikings (like many primal dream Warrior types) are about taking what you need. I’m not overlooking the fact here Ash, that you have a past life connection to this part of the world, okay, because the tribal warriors you dream off, are so often past life representations/connections. (Interesting that you picked up on it too Opto… perhaps a shared experience?)…it often happens and I am always astounded by the connections that the internet allows to highlight the story of the tower of Babel...

Anyeeway, in a nutshell and back on topic ~ it would seem that those Giants who have come and taken what they needed of you in life, have now gone, allowing you to follow your crab… take a deep breath and allow yourself to re-connect to your own flow. Relax even, and dare to be yourself without fear of consequences?

An interesting school of thought, is that through the path of Karma, we all choose our parents and families before we are born, to help fulfil karmic debts by giving of ourselves to help them conquer their fear giants and progress with their own life path.

Then we are free to pursue our life purpose… and if you follow the crab, her lunar cycles should take you closer to that path real soon . . . that’s when the fun begins (and the real confusion) *lol* Don’t despair because your dreams will guide you, if you follow them cloooseeely…

I hope that helps you put it all together Ash, it sounds like you are turning a corner?

I’m off tonight to a drumming circle with Doreen Virtue’s Husband, Steve Somebody-or-other ... I can’t wait, because since Medicine Crow went back to the states, to become the chief of his tribe, I can feel all my energy bodies have gone way out of alignment … it’s been tooo long and this drumming circle is a little different too, I get to take a rattle and participate in the meditation? ~ woo hoo.

Dream well and I hope you find the crab again tonight and get to follow her to a magical place, Ash.

Let me know!

Big Viking Hugs

The shared experience...
I have recently grown into a vision of myself that i see as grown up (in line with facing the view young uns can have of grown ups).

Thanks for clarifying, Lilla.

WOOOOO HOOOOOO what excellent news Lilla. From how ornatley decorated those boats were I thought there was positivity riddled right through. I must admit I was way off base with the giants and now that I hear they bring such good news..... has given me that final little nudge I needed.

Turning around the corner as we speak. Life is about living 'eh? There is only so much you can give of yourself to others before it starts to take its toll... and there is a line that you cross when helping others TOO much that becomes detrimental to both parties as opposed to helping.

That line has been crossed.

IT~S TIME TO SET THAT LITTLE CRAB FREEEEEEEEEE!!!

Thanks for tying the loose ends! I live in a constant state of confusion Lilla so this is par for the course with me. Just one of those things that makes life interesting.... I think a Scorpio trait perhaps??

I hope you have a wonderful evening of drumming - that sounds heavenly and very therapeutic. i was mesmerized at 'The Dreaming' by a group of drummers - it was incredible! I can feel that beat reverberating through my body again just thinking about it!

Looks like we go WWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY back hey Opto! Good to meet up with you again my giant dreaming friend.

Hugs to you both and thank you for such a great reply lilla. Your hard work and time is MUCHLY appreciated.

Ash xxx

PS I giggled too when I woke up and continued to see the little animated crab running out the clock

ooooh I had one of these dreams last night... all these important figures... guru, leader that sort... about 6 of them gathered around this table with me and a group of people I didn`t have faces for but I knew were friends... we were all breathless from having run in from somewhere, all around the scenery was dark and like something out of Lord of the Rings, and they started playing a game along the lines of spin the bottle but with this blue crooked stick which seemed to hover in the air.. and it landed on me and they all looked at me and said 'It`s your turn now, now you are the Leader'.. the main teacher who was in this group had a special name and I can`t for the life of me remember what it was... and then just as i was about to find out what I was about to be leader of the damn alarm went off!!!!!!!!

A particular busy time. You know I need a quite space to interpret dreams for people and that isnt happening of late...

Thanks Lilla, no interpretation needed, I think your pages have enough depth for me to work it all out, it was more just voicing the dream rather expecting an interpretation An opportunity has presented itself of which I think these Masters were indicating in this dream, just had to bide the time and be patient that prayers will be answered when they need to be....

When one door closes another will open... and so life works in its cyclical mysteries. Be well xxx
