..and so to sleep, per chance to dream.

Components and Locations of Buildings ~ T

January 25th 2008 00:38
Tables ~ are primarily about decision making. If you are sorting or dealing with a lot of objects on the table, you are calling attention to developing your ability to create order in your life, out of chaos.

As a precognitive portent the table in a dream can often represent legislation or legal documents as a part of that process.

According to Gypsy folklore seeing a table denotes sensual pleasures ahead.

To Break A Table – can often presage a move of house in the waking world.

Tapestry ~ seeing walls covered with rich tapestries foretells that you will be able to gratify your inclinations towards luxurious living.

To see them Threadbare and Worn - you are warned of your own laziness in taking control of your life.

Weaving in General – remains a basic dream symbol that always suggests the need to
take responsibility for our own lives and the way we run them.

Tassels ~ according to gypsy folklore seeing them denotes coming delight.

Teacups ~ Often seeing teacups can be pointing to the dreamers need for divination on a certain issue.

For a Woman to dream of them Broken - foretells that her fortune and good pleasure will be marred by sudden trouble (gypsy folklore).

To Drink Wine from One – foretells fortune and pleasure will be combined in some way.

A Japanese Tea Ceremony (or Afternoon Tea) – is highlighting the coming need for a special way of caring for and nurturing, someone.

A Work Environment Tea Break –
Suggests that you need to look more closely at your own need for proper ways to rest and relax from long periods of concentration. The next step could possible be intense headaches.

It is advisable to up your water intake after such a dream, to make sure you are properly hydrated.

Teapot ~ augurs a new friendship (gypsy folklore)

Telephones ~ are all about how you feel about your ability to communicate in the waking world.

Using a telephone – suggests the ability to make contact with other people (or a part of ourselves we are out of touch with), to impart meaningful information which we feel is needed. Pay attention to what is being said.

Being Contacted By Telephone – suggests that there is more information available to you that you do not, as yet, know.

Aware of the Telephone Number You Are Ringing – make sure to note the numbers and check them <<here>>as they will be important. Be aware that they may also mean that there is a specific person you need to contact, or who will contact you.

Searching For a Telephone Number – indicates that you are having some difficulties in synchronising your thoughts about your future actions, possibly regarding an up-coming event.

Not Seeing or Knowing the Recipient – can often signify that you are in touch with your Guardian Angel or Spirit Guide and should heed the conversation with extra care.

Telescope ~ Be careful that you are not taking a one-sided view of things. You should be looking at things from both a long and short-term perspective.

According to gypsy folklore to see a telescope in your dreams foretells unfavourable seasons for love and domestic affairs, and business will be changeable and uncertain.

To Look at Planets – take note of which planet you can see and its corresponding Zodiac Symbol. (I will post the meanings of these symbols later).

To See a Broken Telescope – foretells that for a season things will not go smoothly for you, expect trouble.

Tenant ~ If you are the Landlord and you see your tenant in the dream it means that business will be full of trouble.

To Dream That You Are The Tenant – beware of loosing business through experimentation.

Paying Rent ~ see Rent <<here>>

Thermometer ~ is about judgement of warmth and feelings. A compassion barometer if you like. This symbol often appears as a reassurance device when we become uncertain of how we are coming across to other people in our waking lives.

A Medicinal Thermometer – will be alerting you to your emotional warmth.

A Domestic Wall Thermometer – is pointing to your intellectual abilities.

Take note of all the numbers that appear as well as the other symbols in the room.

Thief in the House? ~ (see Burglar/Intruder <<here>>

Threshold ~ To cross one in a dream portends new experiences are on the way.

According to Gypsy Folklore to dream of being lifted across the threshold, as in a wedding, portends just that, or in this day and age… more likely a new relationship. Either way, new romance is imminent.

Standing on The Threshold –
you are about to take on new responsibilities. Maybe a new way of living altogether… it is a spiritual dawn and you should be very aware of what is going on around you at this time.

The Threshold has remained a very significant symbol in the waking world within Masonic imagery and initiation rites. Even in Parliament, to this day, permission must be sought to ‘cross the threshold.’

Throne ~ If your dream building should hold a throne and you are sitting in it, then look out, because you are about to acknowledge your right to take authority.

An Empty Throne – denotes that you are not prepared to accept the responsibility for who you fully are, yet. Check your past as it may be something to do with what you feel is a lack of proper parenting.

Someone Else In Your Throne – You’ve handed your authority over to others around you, for fear of taking control of yourself.

According to gypsy folklore
to dream of a throne is a dream of credit, renown and honour no matter the portent.

A Toilet ~ See Rooms : Bathrooms <<here>>

Tools ~ Practical skills you have at your disposal for enhancing our lifestyle by working through life’s complexities.

A Drill (LOVE) – Used to work through negative emotions and irrational fears, required now to adjust attitude to redefine altitude in life, and where you may have become too hardened and cynical.

A Hammer (COMPASSION) – New energy is now available to you in order to break down old habits and patterns causing self-defeating resistance.

A Saw – (CHARITY) You can now cut through all the accumulated rubbish (emotional baggage) in order to make something new emerge from the ashes of what you consider failure.

If A Tool is Being Used as a Weapon (FRUSTRATION) –
this is pointing to feelings of aggression, perhaps of a sexual nature.

Torch ~ (Self Confidence) – There is a need to move forward here and carry your own light. Shine your light ahead to show you the way and take very special note of the symbols that appear in that light, as they will show you the way when interpreted.

If you are not brave enough to continue then don’t despair, all that is happening is that you are in need of spiritual guidance and should remember to ask in your prayers for a mentor to enter your waking life to teach and guide you.

Trap/Trapped ~ To get caught in one, is an indication that you feel trapped by outside circumstances, usually bought about by our own inability to break free from old patterns of thought and behaviour. We usually need outside help, remember to ask for help in your prayers.

In gypsy folklore being trapped portends losses through law and lawsuits.

To Be Trapping Someone Else – is your reflected attempt at trying to hold on to someone in waking life.

To See A Trapdoor Opening – tells of a secret that will be revealed.

To See A Trapdoor Being Shut Down –
Mystery will engulf you and you must be careful of not getting lost if you are to find the treasure, usually a nugget of hard earned wisdom.

Treasure ~ To find treasure in your building anywhere, in any form, always represents something of value to us.

To Dig Up Buried Treasure – is to have found some character trait we had lost.

To Bury Treasure –
is said to be trying to guard yourself against a future you are not sure about.

To Find Jewels will depend on the gem itself, but will very rarely represent material fortune … more what you hold as valuable in life in a non material way. Things like virtue, moral values, freedom of thought and creativity, family and/or romantic love.

Counting your Jewels and Treasure – denotes that you require more time for reflection… switch the TV off, close your eyes for a little while and just focus on your breathing… allow your thoughts to drift and just keep focusing on your breathing. Congratulations, you are meditating and reached the state of Calm Abiding.

Amethyst – promotes healing and influences dreams. You must look to integrating the individual pieces of information you have into a cohesive whole to gain access to healing energies and peace.

Diamond – signifies human greed, hardness of nature and what one values in a cosmic sense.

Emerald – suggests you have completed a stage of growth towards your own immortality and should rest for a while before pursuing more knowledge. Perhaps an offering and a small prayer of gratitude, followed by a personal celebration to mark the occasion are in order?

Gold – represents the most valuable aspects of us, so take note of which gems are placed within it, if any. Gold is about developing the incorruptible side of ourselves, that part which holds onto wisdom, love, temperance and compassion.

According to gypsy folklore it also behoves us to remember the old saying, that ‘…all that glitters is not gold.’

Opal – look to fulfilling your inner world of fantasies and dreams. Psychic impressions will be more pronounced over the coming weeks, make use of this window of opportunity.

Pearl – suggests inner beauty and moral values are particularly important to you. It may be time to take a course to develop them further. You may need to re-connect with the sea.

Ruby – Base Chakra and your fears. It is a time of dealing with your emotions head on, tackling them to gain control, in order to enjoy passion and enhanced compassion, equally.

Sapphires – will highlight spiritual or religious feelings over the coming weeks. Can presage a vision… pay attention to your reoccurring thoughts?

Silver – is about the inner reserve we hold to shield us in times of difficulty. It is a symbol of knowledge. And it does also literally represent increases in financial dealings in the waking world too.

The gypsies also believe that dreaming of silver augurs unsuspected revelations (forewarned is forearmed).

Trophies ~ signify that pleasures or fortune may come through the endeavours of mere acquaintances, but certainly through hard work and effort in overcoming certain fears.

If Cup Shaped – it suggests that you stay receptive to advice from acquaintances and business associates at this time, as it will prove beneficial.

If Shield Shaped –
It means that fortune protects you at this time and that you have mastered some aspect of self protection too.

A Tub ~ is, according to the gypsies, always a bad dream.

If the Tub is Full of Water –
it denotes evil is about.

If the Tub is Empty – it still predicts misfortune.

Hi Raven,

It should be slow enough, because each one is a part of a collection or ‘theme’ and my intent is that eventually there will be a complete dictionary here to help all interpret their dreams as the symbols pop up in each category… *lol* I don’t think this category could get slower… it is so full of symbology and just taking forever to finish.

I have people waiting for a post on weather, and planets and zodiac signs and all sorts of other categories… if only I could get this theme finished, but sadly, U-V looks mega too… ho hum.

Hope all is well

Lilla …

PS please note that Dream Interpretations has been given its own domain name and is now DreamHerlad.com

Hi Tracy,

Thank you, it was a lovely surprise when offered.

These posts are meant ot be used as a reference, goodness, I wouldn;t expect anyone to remember all the symbols within their pages. The coloured words ar links within the levels of posts to help you traverse them without too much fuss.

Do please come back when the dream symbol 'strikes' and you can look up it's meaning. However, if it all gets too long (in time), you can drop your complete dream into 'Do You Want a Dream Interpreted" (Bottom of spotlight posts)... and I'll do all the work for you. There are many dreams there already ... and you may find part of your dream already interpeted.

I hope these pages become useful to you in the future.

Sweet dreams my friend.
