Dream Herald - by Lilla

In his work entitled *Sacred clowns* Tony Hillerman writes ~ *.... This business of hozho. The way I understand it ... I’ll use an example. Terrible drought, crops dead, sheep dying. Spring dried out. No water. The Hopi, or the Christian, maybe the Moslem, they pray for rain. The Navajo has the proper ceremony done to restore himself to harmony with the drought. You see what I mean. The system is designed to recognize what’s beyond human power to change, and then to change the human’s attitude to be content with the inevitable.* : The truth is, Dreams Help Us Adjust in exactly the same way . . .

Components and Locations of Buildings ~ I - L

Intruder / Burglar ~ an intruder in your dream home is a scary symbol to deal with, as it means our personal space is feeling threatened in some way, most nearly always sexual in its undertone. Often enough the intruder is masculine and this alone generally indicates a need to defend ourselves.

Spiritually, dreaming of an intruder indicates that we have put ourselves in danger in some way, but not listening to our own inner voice properly. Our Self is a sacred space, but until we understand that it is impenetrable, we can be too open to challenge. The intruder is that part of ourselves, which does not handle our fears and doubts very well.

Keys ~ Surprisingly, keys often appear in dreams and as symbols, they represent fresh attitudes, thoughts and feelings; now capable of unlocking memories, experiences and knowledge – previously hidden.

As spiritual symbols they represent our need for liberation from stressful situations and then initiation of a positive move forward.

If you are trapped and needing a key : then its appearance refers to the fact that freedom can often appear by magic if we stop holding within us the answers to the difficulties in our lives. Very often the key (in this scenario) represents the very down-to-earth, mundane symbol needed to trigger off our ability to work out solutions.

Silver and Gold Keys : represent - respectively - temporal and spiritual power.

Keyhole ~ if you are peeking through one, you are being made conscious of the fact that your ability to see and understand is somehow currently impaired?

Traditionally, Freud (of course) associated the keyhole to the feminine and it has sometimes been taken as a token that the impairment could result from your attitude to the feminine, although a more Jungian approach suggests it as a symbol that you are contemplating entry into the Sublime.

Note: Since the key usually needs a keyhole or vice versa ~ to dream of one without the other, is often a sign that there is some kind of confusion between the inner and outer self.

Ladders ~ in dreams represent your feelings on moving from one situation to another, of striving upwards for success and profits. If the feeling of the dream in which the ladder appears is positive, it can portend a period of unexpected good fortune.

Leaning a Ladder Against a Building : denotes that some effort needs to be made to reach your goal, perhaps some risks in taking a new opportunity? Sometimes it can also augur a career change.

If the rungs are broken : expect difficulties in all your dealings.

If Someone Else is Carrying the Ladder : it suggests that another person (perhaps a manager or colleague) has a part to play in your progress.

Lamps / Lights ~ often reflects life itself to you by way of personal light in the darkness. As with all illumination, decisive consciousness of lighting in your dream house, is an indication that you may well be ready to face certain realities, previously suppressed.

A side lamp : is indicating guidance from inner wisdom and is saying : ‘Old outdated beliefs can now be updated.” In its most practical aspect, the lamp signifies the use of intellect and clarity as a way forward.

If the light goes out : be careful of the influences around you that can affect your opinions right now… You may be confused and need to seek clarity of your intentions on any given subject. (Take note : in which room did it go dark?).

A Very Bright Light (or brightly lit room) : often presages the fact that you are developing more intuition or insight. There are many techniques using candle flames and meditation that can enhance this faculty if you are being shown that this is the way to go. Do some supernatural research into ancient texts.

Lighting (general) : Bright lights in any form symbolises the manifestation of divinity, truth and direct knowledge. Often this knowledge is beyond form and is seen in its pure state of energy, which the mind translates into bright light.

Note: the things that appear directly after seeing lights or lamps as they are the areas being highlighted for updating.

(Lightning ~ will appear in “Weather In Dreams” coming soon after 'Building Components' is complete).

Locks ~ like keys and keyholes, can appear anywhere in our dream domicile’s, sometimes in the most unexpected places, but especially to block us from a particular room, or during an attempted escape from one.

Basically, a lock is a symbol of fear. Fear of revealing a secret, fear of confinement, abandonment or as a means to keep us locked up, and emotionally safe. A lock appearing in a dream may well be the symbolic trigger we use to tell ourselves that we need to free up whatever we have shut away.

Either way, a lock signifies that freedom is being offered, or that the way forward is barred. Our actions are not appropriate.

To Force a Lock : would indicate that we need to work against our own inclinations to lock things away, in order to be free of inhibitions.

To Be Mending a Lock : suggests that we are keenly feeling that our space is being trespassed upon and you are called to create clearer boundaries, after repairing the damage.

To Realise That a Door is Locked : reveals that somewhere we thought of as a sanctuary to us, is no longer available as such. It also strongly suggests that a course of action is not right?

A Loom ~ in the room is rare and has a distinct meaning depending on whether it is an older working tool, or a more modern creative device. Either way it suggests fate, time, and the weaving of destiny are intertwined with your life at this time, through creative endeavours.

It marks a time of creativity, whether more mechanical or craft orientated. We all have the ability to create beautiful objects and the loom is one of these objects. Seeing it now, means a time when you must draw on creativity for the way forward… it is time to step outside the box in finding solutions to everyday problems.

Luggage ~ seen in a room, or somewhere within the house, is the symbol of what we feel it is necessary to take, in order for us to go forward.

Already Packed : Often suitcases full of the emotions and habits we feel we need to take on our trip.

Packing / Un-packing : Emotions and habits that have helped us in the past, but which can now be re-appraised before being ‘re-packed’ for the next leg of our journey.

I'll definitely have to try and remember if burglars were in my dreams or not, because I should have them in my dream, with all my nosy friends haha.

Interesting information about the locks Lilla!

Hope you're having a good one,

Always

Hi Always,

Dream locks fascinate me, as do intruders in my houses ... *laughs* now you'll know why they are stalking alright!

Talking of which, I dreamt of a beautiful new home the other night... Since houses represent who we are : our structure, I am researching the phenomenon of actually 'moving house' in a dream?

It's a great one, thanks... it is an interesting spring, weatherwise, is it not?

Looking forward to reading more of your travel adventures to Townsville.

As always valuable information. Gotta love the dreams, although this weather is not very conducive to sleeping at the moment.

Be well

Hi Ash,

Oh I love to sleep on stormy nights...the pitter-patter of rain on the tin roof... *sigh* I had a crazy dream last night of being outcast from the group ... I don't know which group ... but there was packing involved again... I am always bloomin' packing or have luggage around... I must be stepping up again and sifting through what emotions and coping mechanisms I will need and what I can disregard.

I watched Kate and Leopold again last night, that was probably what did it. Not a very deep and meaningful film, but I just love that film on stormy nights, none-the-less.

I've been so busy Ash, Little one has one a bit-part in her first movie woo-hoo and we've had meetings and there is so much going on ... BIg one's birthday party on Sunday and yesterday I took myself of for an interview for something different (oh and because I like going to interviews.. they are fun)...

I am gong now to read about the update with Wheels... I've been dying to find out what is happening (and caught the post a few days ago) ... haven't had the time to read it till this morning...

see you over there...

sunny hugs

Gosh Ash,

this one slipped through ... sorry, I didn't get notification?

(hope you do?)

The party was great, the interview was the same old, same-old. Hahaha by the time I had filled out the form, I knew I didn;t want to be there on the 14th floor, stuck in the airless tomb with a bunch of phonies ... I wish I could see it another way, truly I do, because I probably have much to offer the corporate world... but it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth, everytime I visit, that I just end up sabbotaging the interview by being really ridiculous *giggle* but please to say, I am cured.

No more corporate jobs unless they are offering $120,000 p.a. and a job that moves around with a lot of travel *lol* hmmm that's probably not happening in a hurry, so I'd better get on with my dream interpretations and make another two cents.

Gone to look for Jessica's dream to interpret.

Big Girl says thanks a million for the good wishes hopes to see you soon.

ooHugsoo

Lilla and Co...xx
