Dream Herald - by Lilla

In his work entitled *Sacred clowns* Tony Hillerman writes ~ *.... This business of hozho. The way I understand it ... I’ll use an example. Terrible drought, crops dead, sheep dying. Spring dried out. No water. The Hopi, or the Christian, maybe the Moslem, they pray for rain. The Navajo has the proper ceremony done to restore himself to harmony with the drought. You see what I mean. The system is designed to recognize what’s beyond human power to change, and then to change the human’s attitude to be content with the inevitable.* : The truth is, Dreams Help Us Adjust in exactly the same way . . .

Buildings In Dreams - T-Z

September 6th 2007 03:05
Temple – is generally a symbol that appears when you are examining the spiritual or religious aspects of your life, or need to. It is a dream to help you consider the meaning of spiritual connection during your ‘normal’ everyday activities.

If you are Preparing for a Significant Ritual – you are about to start a new phase in your waking life, which is far more spiritual than your previous one. The alchemy of the ritual will help you integrate and transform the message of your previous lessons.

A spiritual graduation is taking place.

A Tabernacle within the Temple – means you must look to what you value and need to feel safe. Perhaps you need sanctuary now?

Sacred Objects have historically given mankind the feeling of permanence, yet conversely, when appearing in dreams, you are being asked to consider the impermanence of your life and the need to make right what you can, whilst you have time.

Tent – Again, not technically a building, a tent is a structure of sorts and as such, it represents exactly that… the feeling that we are on the move, unable to settle and put down roots. For now, this dream is telling you that anywhere (or anyone) you ‘settle’ on now, is going to be temporary.

Spiritually, this can augur a period of not being tied down to any one specific thing, place or person.. that alone can signify a coming time of renewal, especially if you have been ‘stuck in the mud’ for a long time, prior to this dream.

Theatre – As a direct dream symbol reflecting our entire macrocosmic waking reality, through the Microcosmic world of a dreamscape theatre (Life) …this category is a huge one, with its own set of interpretations. The meanings of which, depend firstly, on the part of the theatre being highlighted in the dream itself; and secondly, on the details found there…

The Stage – is highlighting to you where it is exactly that you are in your life… look around for more symbols here to explain the details.

The Auditorium – augurs that you have a great ability to listen, because what you will hear over the coming days - in your waking life – will be significant in coming months.

The Play – we create in our dreams, is highly significant, as it reflects the aspects of our lives currently most relevant. Pay attention to the details of the play.

A Spectator only (non participation) – it means you are able … and encouraged to, take an objective viewpoint now… It would be wise to view your life right now, as a bad episode of Home and Away.

To be in the Spotlight – signify’s that you have a strong need to be noticed.

If you are feeling unloved, Blue Lace Agate worn against your skin now, will generate waves of nurturing quality energy, that can help you overcome this need, as it helps you release old emotional blockages and patterns.

Tomb – Like the Theatre, being in a tomb has many aspects, but primarily this is a dream about our views and needs to overcome our fears of the darkness, in all its guises, as it resides within the subconscious mind.

Entering a Tomb – suggests going down into the darker parts of your personality. This dream usually begins with a fearful feeling, but later, we often find ourselves more at ease.

Instantly in a Tomb – suggests you are ready to face your fears, esp. of death and dying.

Trapped in a Tomb – suggests that you are trapped by fears, pain, or old outmoded attitudes in your waking life. Try to find someone who does Emotional Detox Workshops, Crystal Healing, Chakra Clearing, any of these will help clear blockages from your emotional body.

Being Trapped in a Tomb - can be a simple dream outlining your need to put aside some time to allow yourself to cry. You may find yourself waking from this dream in tears.

Bodies in the Tomb – These are symbols for the parts of yourself that you have not developed, purposely sabotaged, or ‘killed off.’ Take note of the body parts you see and check their meaning Really Long Link

If One of the Dead Bodies (or parts) Comes To Life –
the attention you have been giving to that aspect of your personality, has been enough to resurrect it.

[Tower (Obelisk, Steeple, Spire, Lighthouse, etc. ) -
is said to be an ambivalent symbol, as it reflects our inner attitude to the outer world. It can be a feminine symbol, in the shelter it provides and masculine, because of its shape. A tower suggests ascent to the spiritual realms, but also descent to the practical. Often a symbol of initiation. Again, it is the aspect of the tower highlighted in this dream, which is important.

In life we need to understand our ‘own tower’ in order to live life to the fullest. Make sure to try and take note of how you get to the tower…

Shallow Steps – augurs that self exploration is easy for you, right now.

Steep Steps – warn you that you are a private individual, who needs time alone.

If the Door is Barred – you are put on notice, that you are not ready to explore your subconscious. Mind the company you keep at this time, least they push you farther than you want to go.

Are your ‘friends’ helping you to achieve your highest goals, or do you just hang out with them to avoid being alone?

The Door is Closed - You must make an effort to ‘get in’ to your subconscious more and reflect on what your intentions are in life. Why are you doing, what you are currently doing?

A Tower with No Door – suggests that we are out of touch with our inner selves. Have you forsaken wisdom in favour of wealth?

A Tower with No Windows –
symbolises that we are unable to see and appreciate either our external good points, nor our inner ones. You need to work on low self esteem.

An Ivory Tower – augurs an innocent approach, full of trust.

A Square Tower –
is advising you to take the practical approach right now.

A Round Tower – is advising you to take a more spiritual approach, than practical.

A Round Tower at the End of a Square Building – is highlighting your need for a combination of balance between the spiritual and practical.

Dark Inside the Tower? – you are still afraid of your subconscious, fearful of demons and darkness, not aware that only you can shine the light you need into your own dark recesses. You must learn to cultivate faith through patience and spiritual connection.

A Hidden Room in the Tower –
is showing you hidden potentials, which you can now develop and bring into the light. It is safe to go forward.

Underground (the underground [railway/subway]) – Again, this dream talks about exploring our hidden depths, but this time it signifies the journeys we are prepared (or forced) to take towards understanding who we are.

Note : The subconscious or the unconscious, is often perceived in dreams as a cave or place underground.

Warehouse – signifies our spiritual body as a place that can either store valuable merchandise, or just plain rubbish. Is your grain-house full of vices or virtues?

Windmills - in dreams, are symbols that appear to
warn you about the correct use of resources. Because the wind in dreams usually always suggests intellect, a windmill portends your intellectual assets and how you use them.

Positive dreams of windmills can augur an auspicious time to come when we can harvest the bounty of recent mental efforts.

Negative ones, may be pointing to an idle, lazy mind that needs to apply it'self more.

Workshop – (see Garage).

Ohh la la indeed Ash,

You can read more about that in my previous Dreams about Sex posts... nothing like a bit of nighttime amour, I say, enjoy it while it lasts... I've had quite a few of those myself lately?

Should we blame Pluto for that, too? *chuckle*

Glad you're getting something out of them Ash,

Soggier hugs

Hi Lilla

You have mentioned before about symbols which keep popping up in your waking hours to also mean the same thing if we were to dream of them right?

Well I was wondering what losing keys means? Because I am normally really good with keys, I don`t think I have ever lost a key in my life. The last three days? THREE SETS!!! And all of them for cars! Is there something that I am missing here? I mean it can`t be coincidence that I have lost 3 sets now in the past three days after never having lost any in 27 years and it`s driving me insane!?

Not sure if I`m reading too much into it but geez it`s ticking me off now!

If the weather could stay like this year round I would be one happy cookie! It`s lovely!!!!

Hi Ash,

...don't worry, it is a dream site... anything is possible *chuckle* random? .. most acceptable.

When you find the mystery of loosing keys in real life, please let me know... I do it twice daily, often find them locked in the car - I carry a spare car key now to compensate - *chuckle* AND... loose them inbetween that too!

In dreams keys are all about fresh attitudes, thoughts and feelings which are capable of unlocking memories, experiences and knowledge which have previously been kept hidden.

To dream of a bunch of keys is said to be a symbol that we need to open up to the whole of our personalities to new experiences...that parts of us are still in denial about certain aspects of ourselves.

In real life, I think it is spirit telling me to 'not go out' stay home and read... but life's responsibilities keep ushiering me out the door and I'm sure I'm "hiding" my keys, because I agree (with spirit)..*chuckle* Who knows?

Good luck finding them...

Hi Catherine,

Thank you, I am honoured and really pleased I can help them out.

Your comment is very timely, as I was considering leaving this blog topic, due not to a lack of dollars (because there is so little in bloggin anyway), but more because I wasn't helping anyone by running it.

You have reassured me that there are people using it and for that I am grateful. I will post again soon on the individual components of buildings - like doors and windows, etc and again thank you for the useful feedback and patronage.
